Where to Go
Divinity’s Reach is the hub for Wintersday festivities. Check your mail for a letter from Tixx containing an Invitation to Wintersday, which you can use to travel instantly to Divinity’s Reach.
You’ll also receive a letter from Orphan Laine, who needs your help with a scavenger hunt. The hunt will require you to travel to some areas intended for level-80 players, but once you’ve unlocked it you can complete it at any time, even after Wintersday ends.
For the duration of the festival, massive Mysterious Presents will appear in the open world in Central Tyria maps. They explode when unwrapped, so take care! Fight off hostile skritt and collect the Wintersday Gifts that fall out.
What to Do
Snow is falling over Divinity’s Reach, and the Crown Pavilion is decorated for the season. If you look up, you’ll see Toymaker Tixx’s enormous airship, the Infinirarium, hovering overhead!
The Crown Pavilion
Visit locations marked by a peppermint candy on your map to participate in Wintersday activities. Don’t forget to visit Wintersday trees and Tixx himself each day to collect gifts.
Ho-Ho-Tron is collecting donations for those in need. Once enough kind souls have given gold for a gift delivery, you’ll need to protect the little golem and the gift-bearing festive dolyak from thieving skritt on their way to the portal.
Your mounts want to celebrate, too! Keep an ear open for race announcements and take your trusted companions on a spin around the city. If you don’t have a mount of your own, you can rent one.
If you just can’t eat another bite of Mintberry Swirl Ice Cream, donate some Wintersday treats to the Seraph so they can share them with allies in Amnoon.
Helping Orphans
Speak to the Charity Corps Seraph to purchase gifts and wrapping paper and exchange them for Wrapped Gifts. Deliver gifts to orphans found all over Divinity’s Reach every day to brighten their holiday and earn karma.
The Wondrous Workshop
Gather four friends and take the giant peppermint portal near Tixx up to the Infinirarium to help save Wintersday. Skritt and rebellious toys are running amok up there!
Speak to the Toy Captain at the nearby vista to tackle Toypocalypse, a defense minigame located in the Infinirarium. You can jump into a private game with your friends or join a public instance.
Secret Lair of the Snowmen
The snowmen need your help—their leader’s heart has frozen solid! Join this Strike Mission in a public group or a preformed squad.
Winter Wonderland
Chat with the Festive Youth to challenge this jumping puzzle. You’ll need to be fast on your feet to ward off the chill and stay on top of delicate snowflakes and exploding presents.
Bell Choir
Follow color-coded cues to master this musical minigame. Talk to the Bell Maestro to get ringing.
Snowball Mayhem
Sure, snowball fights are great fun for kids…but this is snowball war. The Festive Lionguard will transport you to the battlefield for a PvP minigame with wintry weapon skills.
Rewards
Wintersday activities award Wintersday Gifts containing an assortment of holiday treats and surprises. Festival currency includes snowflakes, Snow Diamonds, and karma, which you can exchange for minis, recipes, tonics, and more.
Many unique rewards are obtained by completing achievements. You’ll find information on the Wintersday achievements and their rewards in your Hero panel under the Daily and Festivals categories.
Above all, have a very merry Wintersday! Just remember—if there’s a snowball in your hand, you’re fair game.
