1. How do I obtain rewards in the GvG Seasons?

There are a couple of requirements that you need to meet to achieve these rewards, those include;

  • Be in a guild for 75% of the season that has achieved either Crystal, Gold, Silver or Bronze or Iron rank during the GvG season.
  • Have premium status active.

2. Why do I have to be in a guild for 75% of the season to obtain these rewards?

Well, given some thought, we could have gone with the most obvious and simple solution – handing out rewards to the players who were in the winning guild in the last 24 hours of the season. However there are many downsides to this option, compared to what we ultimately came up with. For example, this option is pretty exploitable in terms of inviting everyone and their dog to the guild, or even selling those spots to everyone and their dog and grandma, which would translate to the inability to give out better rewards. (sorry grandma.)

Therefore, we have decided to go with a system that will track your loyalty to the guild you’re in, and based on that, along with that guild’s placement at the end of the season, we will determine if and what rewards you will receive.

3. Why did you decide to base the system on guild loyalty?

Well there are positive side effects of this that play into other feedback we have collected from you guys, regarding the implications of guild hopping and mercing. What’s important to note here, is that we do not want to slap on restrictions and take away sandbox elements whenever there is a common problem. In general we do not want to take away the freedom of your different play-styles – instead, with this system we want to incentivize loyalty to your banner and discourage disloyalty where possible. In the end you could still forfeit those rewards, because it’s up to you – how much you value your own loyalty.

Other benefits of such a system: we will have more balancing flexibility in the long term, for example even if for some reason we decide to go with the low effort option of giving out rewards for the last 24 hours, we simply tweak this % down to around 10% + the timeframe. Or similarly, if we decide that we think players need to have 100% participation/loyalty, again we just tweak the number. Once we have the system in place, we will be able to be more reactive in the future, which in itself has a lot of benefits of responding faster to the community.

something here about it how it being above 75% means cant double reward

4. Why did you not use fame as a measurement of contribution during the GvG season?

It makes total sense to consider fame as option for a more ‘participation’ style reward. We did weigh up if we could work with fame as an indicator, but it can end up a bit over complicated/engineered, for example if we tracked fame separately (crafting, gathering, killing etc) in many cases crafters are getting more fame than gatherers, but their contribution should still be acknowledged as valuable right? If we were to base it mostly on fame for killing players, perhaps not everyone had the opportunity to kill X amount of players, and what kind of % would be feasible for all guilds and their individual players.
Finally if we combined the fame together, we may have a situation where players are just spamming instances, which in general can be helpful for the guild wealth wise, but it’s a bit too detached from the GvG seasons.

Therefore we will go for something simpler to track and communicate, with the knowledge that Guild Leaders will determine and kick those members that are not contributing as they should. (which should also be a form of participation tracking)

Sidenote; we will be introducing a separate system that will be geared towards rewarding solo players for their pve activities in albion, we did not forget about you – more information on that will be announced next week. ;)

5. How will I know how much x% loyalty progress I have in a guild?

That one is simple, this will be indicated within the Season Ranking interface on the new ‘Season Rewards’ tab, so that you are well aware of how much of a loyal guildie you are. If you switch guilds, the tracker will start displaying time in the new guild.

6. What happens to my loyalty progress if I switch guild in the middle of the season?

As mentioned in question 3, you will not lose any progress made in your previous guild, but of course you loyalty progress will pause for the previous guild and start being tracked for the new guild.

7. What happens if I am kicked from the guild on the last day of the season?

Your loyalty progress will not be lost, as long as you were in that guild for 75% of the season you should still be eligible for the rewards.

8. How will I know what rewards I am eligible for?

We plan to introduce an interface that will indicate this as soon as possible, until then will prepare an info-graphic for you to keep and share. Once we have the infographic we will notify you and update this FAQ.

9. What rewards can I obtain for being placed in the top 3?

  • Crystal War Mount

15. How and when can I access the Conquerors’ Hall?

The common folk and peasants of Caerleon will be drafted in to construct the Conquerors’ Hall during Season 4. Once they have finished their measurements and planning you will notice a construction site in Caerleon appear sometime into Season 4, where the Monument and Entrance will be. Once we have clear victors of Season 4, they will be immortalized into statues that will sit at this entrance of the Conquerors Hall until Season 5 concludes, at which time they will be carefully placed inside the hall for the remainder of Albion history to make room for their successors.

16. If I am in the top 3 guild, how will I forward the character I want to be immortalized in the Conquerors’ Hall?

Each guild that is placed in the top 3 will be able to immortalize one character into a statue, the top #1 guild will have the opportunity to choose a posture of their immortalized character. We will be directly in touch with the Guild Leaders to concept these characters ready for the opening of the hall.

17.Will the loyalty progress be tracked while offline?

Your progress will be tracked while you’re within a guild, online or offline.
